Liz Murray grew up in the Bronx, the daughter of two loving but drug-addicted parents. After losing her mother to AIDS and becoming homeless, Liz completed high school and won a New York Times scholarship while living on the streets. She later graduated from Harvard University and was awarded The White House Project Role Model Award, a Christopher Award, as well as the Chutzpah Award, which was given to her by Oprah Winfrey. Discover Liz’s story and hear how she has created a humanistic and cultural perspective through her personal experiences and journey.
